Year 3 & 4 - Rowling
Welcome to Rowling Class!
A huge welcome to all our wonderful Year 3 and 4 children and families! We’re delighted to begin another exciting year of learning, adventure and discovery together.
Our fantastic team — Miss Cocks, Miss Thomas and Miss Wilkinson — are looking forward to guiding the children through an inspiring year where curiosity and creativity take centre stage. In Years 3 and 4, we continue to build independence and confidence, encouraging every child to ask questions, think deeply and explore new ideas through practical, hands-on experiences.
We believe that children learn best when they’re actively involved, so our lessons are full of opportunities to investigate, experiment and learn through doing. Whether it’s exploring Science in the classroom, investigating Geography outdoors, or stepping into the past in History, we make learning exciting and meaningful.
As part of our enrichment programme, children enjoy taking their learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. We make the most of our wonderful outdoor spaces, taking part in Forest School sessions throughout the year where pupils can explore nature, develop teamwork and build confidence.
Alongside our academic learning, children also have the opportunity to take part in a range of fun and creative activities — from learning to play the ukulele and joining our film club, to cookery sessions where they learn valuable life skills (and make some delicious treats too!).
Throughout the year, our children will be encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively and develop a real enthusiasm for learning — both inside and outside the classroom.
We can’t wait to see all the amazing things our Year 3 and 4 children will achieve this year as they learn, explore and grow together.
Take a look at our learning so far this year...
